I am living in Amman for nearly six months. Hope I can offer some helpful information. From Amman to Petra, go to Wadahat station,there is minibus over there. But it will only departure when it is full. There is no fixed schedule.The ticket is about 2 JD and it will take around 3 hours. From Amman to Jerash,go to Abudali station near downtown,half JD. It will take 1 and half hours.
If somebody is interested in going to Wadi Rum for camping,visit www.jordanjubilee.com. You can find a guide over there. He can give you jeep tour and arrange the accommodation and food. Just 40 JDs a day. And you can experience the real dessert. I tried in January. It was fantastic.
四，巴士（巴士基本上座满开车，巴士到站时间需提前向旅店或visitor center打听）
aqaba-->wadi rum, 车是早八点进站，司机告诉我十二点开车（1.5--2JD），进入wadi rum的 village前会先路过check point,组团基本上在这，但是是government price,价格会比私下找贝都因人贵，但是安全有保证，适合找不到同伴的人，visitor center设在那，过check point要付2JD，我是糊里糊涂的在一个约但人的帮助下逃了，他的目的是我进入village向我推销他的车和行程
如果好几个人同行，可以选择进入village后找当地人租车，冬季淡季价格不高，那个约但人给我开出15JD的价格，包括车入沙漠，住一夜沙漠，出于安全原因拒绝了，如果几个人一起自行组团的话单人价格应该也差不多这个价，具体参考旅行指南
village里有住宿，可找gesthouse，2JD一晚，附近餐馆的老板也能提供，价格一样。
五，wadi rum-->wadi musa,小巴过去基本上2.5--3.5JD每人,如果天气不好改走king's highway的话会被要求4.5JD,但不可能再高，如果碰到有空车（指被人包车到wadi rum）回wadi musa就很运气，司机3JD也会带。去petra的都住在wadi musa，wadi musa的旅店都有免费车送到petra入口，自己步行也不过十分钟
