take a train! the rail system takes you anywhere in England, Well, nearly anywhere. Nothing to see in Blackpool, you can check out the tower if you are desperate, and there is an amusement park at the rim of the city. The whole north west region, I'd go to the lakes. Went there several times, never got tired of it, or them.
