Channel Islands (California), Joshua Tree很一般. 前者無公路. 都不推薦.
冰川公園很漂亮, 大力推薦.
南猶他漏了太多自然奇景: Zion, Bryce, Canyonlands, Arches, Capitol Reef, Antelope Canyon, monument Valley, Valley of the Gods, Gooseneck Valley, Lake Powell - Rainbow Bridge Air tour, Horseshoe Bend, Coral Pink Desert, Marble Canyon, Hoodoos, The Wave, Road UT-89A.............
北亞利桑那的Petrified Forest NP也不錯, 小而精緻
西雅圖附近的Mt Rainier National Park, North Cascades NP, Olympic NP, 俄勒岡境內的Crater Lake National Park都不錯....
新墨西哥州的White Sand和Carlsbad Cavern NP也不錯.
NY的尼亞加拉瀑布, FL的大沼澤地國家公園都很有代表性....

It is simply because most of the parks you mentioned are NOT at West Coast. They are mostly in the mid-west of US, which is entirely different from your understanding of 美西.
Also, many of them are along the Rockies and that makes them subject to extreme weather all year long.
What makes those places magic is that you only have a brief window period each year to get the best out of the visit. It is 100% mother nature does the work.
