I just came back from South America and hope i could help.

1. dont know where Pucon is. I left Torres del Paine and arrived in Puerto Natales, and then went to Punta Arenas. By bus will take you 3-4 hours, cannot recall the exact amount of time.

2. I did so in NYC. Chile needs 1-2 weeks to process your visa, for Argentina 2 days. Chile requires you provide evidence showing how you enter and leave Chile. While Argentina will scrutinize your application: you need to submit 6 month bank statement, and reservation of Every accommodation and ALL transportation. The latter is troublesome due to you can hardly find people speak English there and online reservation is not available everywhere.

2，申请过Argentina Visa，具体‘需要什么材料’请看该国使领馆的网站，一则因为时间‘久远’怕记忆有误，二则这种‘需要什么材料’的条款是很可能变动的，应以最新‘需要’为准。不过，有二点也许有参考的价值： a，材料上好像没有什么特别要求，很常规的经济能力的审核而已； b，当初没有时间‘亲自’前往该国领馆面见VO，是请别人代为递交，三天后再代为取件的。总的来说，非常宽松，非常合作。
